There were changes, but not to the extent it changed the meaning of the story. Everytime I run out of a book I pick it up and start where I left off. It is one of those books that is hard to put down. How the most different of people can turn to be friends and respect one anyone. It shows us how just one person, or in this case a hobbit can make a differnce in our world. It has so many moral phrases and values that I never realized till I read it the second time. Without going into the whole story line, I found the characters most interesting. I finally gave in, and thought I might as well get the complete novel and found that I just love it.
She was persistent that I get the book, then go see the movie with her. My young co-worker was shocked that I have never read or heard of it.
And then the Fellowship of the Ring came out. I have this book, with all 3 complete novels.
